About Practitioner
I hold a bachelor‘s degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia with extensive experience in communications and writing. I am a certificated Orton Gillingham Educator who has worked for Reach Learning Centers and now works privately one-on-one with students. My lessons are multisensory and tailored to the individual needs of each student. For me, building rapport with a student is the key to success. Using humour, positive feedback and engaging activities; I create a comfortable, nurturing environment that takes the child’s emotional, physical and cognitive needs into consideration.
I am also the parent of a dyslexic child, so I understand the stress that parents (and children with learning differences) face when navigating the public-school system.
