About Practitioner
I began my journey in literacy intervention while I worked for the North Vancouver School District as an Education Assistant from 2017-2020. This experience let me support our most complex learners in their studies. Working in special education has given me a multitude of tools and strategies to directly support students with a variety of diagnoses. I have directly supported students with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Dyslexia, and ODD. I have also provided learning support for many other students with challenges on their learning journey. Working 1:1 with students in a calm supportive environment is what fills my bucket every day. The Orton Gillingham approach gives students the tools necessary to grow their literacy skills and see themselves succeed!
