About Practitioner
My background has included working as an Orton Gillingham Practitioner for Reach Learning Centre and as a Learning Support Teacher in the North Vancouver School District.
During the school day, I provide targeted class support in our elementary school Learning Assistance Centre for both small group and individual students for grades K-3. This extra early literacy support is given outside their classroom with direct and intensive remediation of language learning difficulties for both spelling and reading. Until recently, I had additionally been working as a Reach OG Practitioner after school for 4 years both in person and online. Extending further, I have my diploma in Special Education and received my Educator Series Certification from the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation, both of which enables my ability to provide extensive support for behaviors that can make focus and learning a challenge .
The lessons I provide are prescriptive to each child's learning needs with one to one remediation therapy. They include learning games and interesting multi-sensory activities that make each lesson fun and engaging.
I am currently accepting students after school .
